Welcome to the First Digi Scrap Connect Blog Train. This blog train is comprised of 24 fabulous designers who have been participating in the Design Factor Challenge the last 5 weeks. For our 5th challenge, we were required to
make an element pack using CU items. Since 1/2 of the items for all the kits would be coming from the Scrap Matters great challenge freebies, we were worried that we were going to have flowers, ribbons and strings coming out our ears with this challenge :). We decided to have fun with it and turn it into a great Blog Train by adding some fabulous papers as well. Flowers, Ribbons, and Strings Oh My!! the blog train was born. We hope you have fun collecting the great mini kits. If you get lost along the blog train, just return to Digi Scrap Connect to find the list of all participants.

THE SUN WILL SHINE CHARITY COLLAB!!

Horrified by the devastation of recent flooding and tornadoes in the US, a group of designers came together to create this kit: The Sun Will Shine, a collaborative effort to inspire hope while raising much needed funds.

Week5 Design Factor Free ellies!!

This week was quite a challenge, hosted by Scrap Matters. We were give a CU pack of elements and we had to use at least 4 of the CU supplied. We had to hone our recolouring skills for this one.

Another week another FREE mini!!

Week 4 of the Design Factor has started and this weeks Challenge was to create a shape, (not a simple circle or square) and to use that shape in the 3 patterned papers and all elements, as well as an alpha.

I chose to draw a cherry, one of my favourite summer fruits. I made three different patterns using my cherry shape as well as my 5 elements, and a lower case alpha, using one of my patterns on it.

This contest has really helped my design skills and pushed me to be more creative in my designs.

Week 3 of Design Factor!

Here is my Mini kit for this weeks challenge, this week we had to use a monochromatic colour palette with pops of colour. This was a bit of a challenge for me as I haven't done this kind of kit before. But I got there in the end.

Here is my Week 2 entry for the Design Factor. This week the challenge was set by Miss Tina from Sugar Hill, we had to make 6 patterned papers using our elements for the pattern, 6 solids &10 unique elements, we were to draw them if possible. My drawing sux!! Anyway I think my kit turned out OK...here it is.

Hi everyone, still feeling very down about the loss of our beautiful Dana, but I know it was the right decision to let her go. The nights are the worst as she always slept next to my pillow or when it was cold she would snuggle in next to my side. So bedtime is very hard...

Now onto my new releases!

DRS has some fabulous NEW packaging, so I decided to redo my Logo, I think the whole thing looks much cleaner and more professional!!
